Odd Brothers Racing – Team Profile
Two brothers. One GQ Patrol. Zero fear.
Welcome to the wild world of Odd Brothers Racing, where Grant Snelson takes the wheel, Ashley Snelson calls the shots as navigator, and together they push their home-built beast to its limits in the Ultra4 Australia race series.

Their story kicked off back in 2018, when the Snelson boys started racing their Patrol and caught the off-road racing bug hard. But everything changed about five years ago when they saw their first Ultra4 Australia event — the noise, the chaos, the carnage… and they knew right then: we need to be there.

So, they tore their Patrol apart and rebuilt it from the ground up, turning backyard engineering into a purpose-built Ultra4 weapon. From suspension to steering, wiring to welding — they built almost everything themselves. The only thing they didn’t touch? The cage, which was custom-built by Dale at 2DExtreme. The rest? 100% Snelson blood, sweat, and busted knuckles.

Growing up around four-wheel drives, the brothers cut their teeth in the old Lada Car Club days and have been hooked on off-roading ever since. That passion fuels every race, every late-night garage session, and every wild moment on track.

Now, Odd Brothers Racing is lining up against the best in Ultra4 Australia — and proving that you don’t need a million-dollar budget to build something legendary. All it takes is grit, determination, and a GQ Patrol with an attitude problem.

Keep your eyes on these two — because when the flag drops, the Odd Brothers don’t hold back.
