Now that the dust has settled from Round 3 I would just like to do a bit of a post for you all.
Firstly I'm overwhelmed by the presentation dinner and what everyone did for me it was great to feel so appreciated for the past 10 years of work we have done to get Ultra4 to where it is now.
Cherrabah was at full capacity and we topped the bar sales for the first time in 10 years. lol
A massive thanks goes to Melissa, Croppy, Nat, Sam (aka Wazzeena) & Robert Knuckey, Russell, Moose, Brandon Wally & Bruce who have all stepped up this year as a committee to help out in a year that i can only describe as an emotional and mental roller coaster for me. Without this crew there would have never been anymore Ultra4.
Special thanks goes to Nathan (Big Red), Rhys (Little Red), Ross, Peter & Leanne, Remy, Matt, Adrian & Karl for always putting your hand up to help out where you can and especially for those that hang around on a Sunday to help pack up.
Thanks to our awesome media team of Tim for organizing other photographers and also Matt & Ben from Black Label Garage for doing there ongoing video media.
There is also thanks to Sam, Candice & all my family for supporting me over the past 10 years. It hasn't always been easy.
Theres heaps of people i would like to thank and if you have helped out in any way over the past year then thank you I appreciate the effort.
Now for round 3. WHAT A HELL OF A ROUND. The entertainment that the competitors put on was not short of exceptional.
The whole weekend came together near faultless for us as organizers.
The live timing for teams to watch was awesome.
The number of cars we had left over after the weekend is a credit to the quality of builds the teams are now producing. So thanks to all the teams for the show I hope you enjoyed the track.
So whats in the future for Ultra4 Australia, well dates have been set and are to be approved by Cherrabah but first round will be late April. So you have 9 months to get the cars running again.
We plan on having maybe a few track days and more track marking weekends.
We will be running Scrutineering days like what we have done in the past to check over cars and give them an idea tag for the year prior to race season so scrutineering at events will be quicker.
There has been amendment's to the rule book with the major one being alloy tanks in Mod class. So stay tuned.
- We are trying to make the timing live on the internet.
- The container will get fitted out.
- More tracks will be made
- Website to be fine tuned
- New start/finish lights
- Bigger pit area
- Releasing more media this year than ever before
These are just a few things so stay tuned as with the committee and the way it will run 2024 is gonna be huge.
Thanks everyone.
