The first of the shootouts at round 2 was the Mad Matt 4wd Rock Stage. This stage was for the Ultra4 classes only and was a long creek with a jump out the end. Spectators lined the banks to watch some big lines be driven, big jumps and limiters being hit. R&C Motorsports managed to cross the line in 3rd after running on a flat tyre for over half the creek! Thorpe Motorsport unfortunately DNF due to a broken axel which was unknown to be broken from the impact pile up in Race 2. Superior Engineering took a big line around a tree which paid off taking the win for this stage. Superior Engineering kindly donated the $500 prize money back to Ultra4 to put towards next rounds prize pool!
