WOW – What. A. Weekend.
Black Duck Valley 4x4 turned it on for us.The Ultra4 Australia racing season is now in full swing, and the Lockyer Valley played host to the much-anticipated QIC Stampede – Round 2.
From July 25th to 27th, off-road diehards gathered for a weekend loaded with adrenaline, rugged terrain, and fierce competition.

The Venue: Black Duck Valley 4x4 Park – Gatton, QLD
Nestled in the hills of East Haldon, this place was built for Ultra4 mayhem. With back-and-forth tracks, gnarly wombat climbs, unpredictable switchbacks, and flowing moto-style sections – BDV dished out a proper test of skill, grit, and rig durability.
The Action: Full Noise, Full Mud, Full Send
Spectators were treated to a showcase of raw horsepower, clever driving, and more rigs than Round 1.Rigs rolled out in waves of five, hitting the track hard and fast – showcasing the strength, strategy, and sometimes the heartbreak that comes with Ultra4.

Race 1 set the tone, proving even the most reliable rigs can come undone.Then... nature decided to spice things up. A massive storm rolled through right before Race 2.
But we don't quit.
With a rapid game-plan change and a bunch of marshals who should probably get medals, a shortened 1.5km “Mudfest” course was carved out. It was sketchy, it was slick, and it was an absolute blast. Racing continued in true Ultra4 fashion – sideways and full of smiles.
